Quilted Maple & Walnut Stripe Candle Centerpiece | 20" Handmade 4-Light Wood Decor

Figured quilted maple and a bold walnut accent come together in this handcrafted 20-inch candle centerpiece, individually made in the Little Forest Studio workshop.

The centerpiece begins with a hand-selected solid slab of quilted maple chosen for its rippling grain and natural character. I cut the maple, add a contrasting solid walnut stripe through the center, and rejoin the hardwood to create the light-and-dark design that runs through the piece.

Matching walnut risers continue that contrast beneath the centerpiece. The risers are removable and adjustable, allowing the piece to sit with a lower profile or be raised for a more dimensional display.

Four frosted glass candle cups are arranged across the top, while the maple figure and walnut stripe remain visible as part of the design. Because the grain of quilted maple develops naturally, each handcrafted centerpiece has its own pattern and character.

Built Around the Wood

The defining feature of this piece is the combination of naturally figured maple and the clean walnut stripe running through it. The stripe is not painted or printed. It is contrasting hardwood incorporated into the centerpiece itself, with walnut risers carrying the same material through the design.

Designed for a dining table, mantel, console table, coffee table, or shelf, it works as handcrafted wood decor even when the candles are not illuminated.
